Which colleges consider SAT and ACT scores in admissions?

Of the 143 colleges with Common Data Set filings in Trajecta's dataset, 32 rate SAT and ACT scores very important in their admissions decisions, 21 rate it important, 78 considered, and 12 say it is not considered — as self-reported in each school's CDS section C7 ("Standardized test scores").

What "Standardized test scores" means

Standardized test scores are your SAT or ACT results. A school’s Common Data Set C7 rating shows how much scores count when they are considered — which is separate from its testing policy: a test-optional college can still rate submitted scores as important, and several highly selective schools have returned to requiring them. Check both the C7 rating and the current testing policy.

SAT and ACT scores: frequently asked questions

Do test-optional colleges still consider SAT or ACT scores?

Yes — test-optional means you choose whether to submit, not that scores are ignored. If you submit, the score is evaluated at whatever weight the college’s Common Data Set C7 grid shows. A strong score can still help at most test-optional schools.

Which colleges do not consider test scores at all?

Colleges that mark standardized test scores "not considered" on their Common Data Set are test-blind (also called test-free): they will not look at scores even if you send them. The "not considered" list on this page is exactly that group, straight from each school’s own filing.
